Christina Aguilera has surprised fans with her current appearance as many are convinced she’s aging backwards.
The singer smashed onto the music scene in the 1990s and 00s with her hot hits and impressive vocals, but decades later, Christina Aguilera looks as if she hasn’t aged a day.
Fans are convinced that the 43-year-old singer looks younger than ever after she was snapped at a recent collaboration with fitness brand Barry’s.
In a TikTok posted by a fan at the event, she wore a tight black bodysuit, with her long platinum blonde hair tied back in a tight ponytail.
Fans couldn’t believe that it really was Christina in the video with comments suggesting she had undergone a complete transformation and looked far younger than 43.
In a similar incident, last month fans said the pop icon was ‘not recognisable in a million years’ as she took to the stage in Vegas.
The Genie in a Bottle singer first became famous when she starred in The All-New Mickey Mouse Club between 1993 and 1994, alongside other famous faces like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake, and Ryan Gosling.
She then became a household name with the release of her self-titled album in 1999 which included the hit singles Genie in a Bottle, What A Girl Wants, and I Turn to You.
In 2002, the singer revamped her style with the release of her best-selling album, Stripped, going for a more provocative style.
In 2003 she made waves as she kissed Madonna while onstage with Britney Spears at the MTV Video Music Awards
Moving away from the more racy style in 2005, the singer opted for an old Hollywood style as she released her fifth studio album Back To Basics.
She had success with hit songs Ain’t No Other Man, Candyman and Hurt.
Her vocals at this time were compared to Aretha Franklin, and Etta James, and in 2006 she performed with Tony Bennett on NBC’s Tony Bennett: An American Classic.
In an interview with Glamour last month, the artist said: ‘When you’re a teenager, you have a very different body than when you’re in your 20s.
‘I started to fill out, and then that was unacceptable because it was like, “Oh, she’s getting thicker.” Then I had industry people: “They liked your body and how you were as a skinny teenager.”‘
In the latter part of the noughties, the star changed up her style again, ditching her old Hollywood glamour look and opting for a more popstar vibe.
During this time she released her album Bionic which featured the song Woohoo with Nicki Minaj and the lead single, Not Myself Tonight.
In 2010 she also appeared in the hit film starring Cher and Stanley Tucci, Burlesque.
Speaking about her looks at the time of filming, the star told Marie Claire: ‘When I worked on Burlesque, I lost so much weight that I was too skinny. I don’t weigh myself – it’s all about how I feel in my clothes.’
In 2011 the star joined the singing competition The Voice and was part of the show for seasons one, two, three, five, eight and 10.
The artist added purple to her trademark hair colour during this time and also experimented with cutting it short and opting for more mature looks as she hit her thirties.
In 2012 she told Marie Claire that she is always confident regardless of her size.
‘I’ve been through highs, I’ve been through my lows. I’ve been through the gamut of all things in this business. Being too thin. Being bigger. I’ve been criticized for being on both sides of the scale.’
‘It’s noise I block out automatically. I love my body. My boyfriend loooves my body. My son is healthy and happy, so that’s all that matters to me,’ she said.
The star’s style evolution has been wild ride and it truly does appear that the singer has either stopped ageing or has found a way to reverse time.
Speaking about her current looks the startold Glamour: ‘I have a maturity now where I just don’t give a f**k about your opinion. I’m not going to take it on.
‘It must be your responsibility to take up your space. Other people’s opinions of me are not my business.’
Although she has chopped and changed her looks hundreds of times over the years, she has always maintained that platinum blonde signature look, a perfect face of makeup and a trendy wardrobe.
We just want to know her secret!
